This is an old book and I am an old geezer these days.
But I was just a tadpole in high school when I read "Your God Is Too Small," and I think that it shaped my beliefs about God more than any
other book besides the Bible itself.
Its basic premise makes sense to me: we are finite. God is infinite. Whatever idea we have of God, He will always be bigger, better, more inexpressible than our little wads of gray matter can understand.
I can't remember what kind of writing style J. B. Phillips used, but it must've been pretty easy reading: I wasn't a very good reader in high school, and I got through it.

A descriptive and thorough little book that addresses our improper views of God and seeks to establish the healthy pictures of Him revealed in the Bible.
