About the author (2010)

Bill Coste Coste has been a head coach for the past 25 years. He is currently at Blanchet High School. In 1998 he was named the Oregon Coach of the Year, in 1999 he was the Far West States Coach of the Year and in 1999 he was the National High School Coach of the Year. Product of the Seattle Public School system, graduated from Western Oregon State University. Worked in the banking industry for 11 years, taught in high school for the next 25 years. While teaching received two Teacher of the Year 'Golden Apples.' Wife's name is Bette Jean, has three children Sean, Kelly and Corina. Resides in Alsea, Oregon.
