PAMELA PEEKE, MD, MPH, FACP, is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and a Pew Foundation Scholar in nutrition and metabolism. Dr. Peeke was named one of America’s top women physicians by the National Institutes of Health and is the author of Fight Fat after Forty and Fit to Live. She maintains a private practice in Bethesda, Maryland, and can be reached at DrPeeke.com.
