Speech by Maghingwe Keeshuch [Daniel Brodhead] to the Huron Indians, 18 September 1779

Front Cover
Speech by Maghingwee Keeshuch [Daniel Brodhead] to the Huron Indians demanding that they cease attacks against American settlers and troops, and that they aid in the Revolution against the British, casting off that bad father the King of Britain over the great lake. Alternately conciliatory and threatening, he warns them of the potential consequences should they refuse to obey: though I love peace and could wish to save the lives of my country men of this island I am not afraid of war.
