The ancient guild of tycoons
Humorous adult novel set in the boom and bust period of the late 20th century. This is the story of Brucey Bird, television gameshow idol, and his father Captain Phillip Arthur Birdswell, who is the first administrator sent by the Empire Garbage Company, later assisted by American Trash Incorporated, to turn an unspoilt Pacific island into a repository for the world's rubbish. The author currently contributes to the 'Sydney Morning Herald' and has published two other books - 'The Motorcycle Cafe' and 'Usher'.
