This is the 2nd in the American Contract Bridge League's series of bridge books for beginning and advancing players. Successfully used by students and teachers for over 20 years, this edition has been updated to reflect current standards for playing bridge. This book concentrates on the play of the hand (making a plan, promoting winners, finessing, trumping losers, etc.). The initial bidding concepts are reviewed and Jacoby transfers and slam bidding are introduced.

This is just the very basics, but it was the first book I read when I was starting to play and I found it immensely helpful. Would recommend it to anyone just getting into the game. Read full review

About the author (2007)

Audrey Grant has been an avid reader since she was a child. It's been her dream to write and publish a book since she began jotting down stories at thirteen. That dream was put on hold while she pursued another dream and studied Interior Design at LDS Business College and earned her degree. In 2009 her dream of writing was renewed and she began working on Curse of the Jaguar. Audrey lives in northern Utah with her husband, four children, and black lab. When she's not reading or writing, she's eating chocolate, doing crafts, Interior Design, making jewelry, or picking up after her young kids.
