About the author (2005)

Horace Randall Williams is a writer, editor, publication designer, and book publisher. He has published more than 200 articles and is the author and/or editor of four books. He began publishing books in 1989 at Black Belt Press, a company he founded, and continues to publish today at NewSouth Books, which he co-founded in 2000 with his partner, Suzanne La Rosa. Together, they have published more than 300 books, mostly on Southern culture, history, and literature.
