About the author (2005)

Johnny Hannah has had a lifetime passion for music. He says that HOT JAZZ SPECIAL, his first children's book, "is about the healing power of good music, music with soul." Jonny Hannah runs his own cottage industry, the Cakes & Ale Press, publishing hand-printed homages to music greats of yesteryear. He has illustrated numerous book covers and also designed the award-winning short animated film THE MAN WITH BEAUTIFUL EYES for British television. Jonny Hannah lives with his partner and young son in Southampton, England, where he wears correspondent shoes and aspires to be an angel-headed hipster.
