About the author (2000)

Bruce Baker is Professor of African Security at Coventry University. His publications include: Taking the Law into Their Own Hands (2002) and Escape from Domination in Africa (2000). He has conducted fieldwork in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, South Africa, Rwanda, Uganda, The Gambia, Sierra Leone, Cape Verde, Seychelles, Liberia and southern Sudan.
