The act of confession grossly involves telling one's faults to God as well as to praise God afterwards with the hope of being forgiven and free from all guilt. The main aim of this books is to describe the great and merciful nature of God. 

Amazing Book! This book made me CRY OUT TO GOD to give me the same passion Augustine has. It made me want a joy in Christ that blows my mind DAILY.
FYI I did not read this translation, it was to hard. I ended up buying a 4.00 book that was easier. Make sure to get a translation that works for you.
