Ciudad en suspenso

Front Cover
Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes, 1986 - Music - 207 pages
Someone has said that "City in Suspense" is an allegory about pollution and its consequences. Although environmental pollution is a constant and important element in the story, the novel may be something more. It has also been said that it is a novel of the absurd, whose unacceptable situations could happen to any Mexican in our city. It can be the story of the sad collapse of a metropolis, under the weight of its problems, but to make room for a new logo, or a festive description of the first steps of a spirit recently arrived in the world of the dead, which does not resemble the Bardo Thodol or the Egyptian Book of the Dead. For some it is a grotesque love story, or the captive woman's passionate defense of her circumstance. Perhaps the author prefers not to say anything about this book that was planned as a crime novel, but turned out to be a strange book that he has trouble recognizing.
