About the author (2012)

This is a true story of the life of a young girl growing up in the rolling hills of Tennessee (Nashville). Her early childhood was playful and full of joyful family love. Her two grandmothers introduced her to the Lord at a very young age and she grew to love Him for herself as well. As a divorced-single mom, Dr. Pat successfully raised two children and continued her own educational endeavors to the Doctoral level in Ministry. Although she encountered a traumatic experience on her innocence, she continued to put her faith in God. When we live our lives caring for someone other than ourselves, we discover an inner strength that only surfaces because of our situation. We end up doing and accomplishing things that almost seem unreal; yet wonderfully ecstatic. Our lives take many turns, but when we know that God has our back, it seems that nothing is impossible. Family, friends and loved ones frequently asked the question -- "What are you going to do next?" They didn't know the driving force within; God's love. It wasn't popular to talk about Him when I was young, so I kept Him all to myself; one of my biggest mistakes. In spite of life's challenges, she was determined to be victorious over her life. Through the love of God, she knew it would be possible for her to stay strong and pursue her dreams. She was right!!!!!
