About the author

 b. 1931, Tom was bred and buttered in the town of Corner Brook West, Newfoundland. After working in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and California, he took up residence in Ottawa, A retired federal public servant, Tom has always taken a keen interest in the affairs of his island homeland. He is especially interested in the transformation of the former British colony following the American ‘invasion’ in the 1940s, and its union with Canada in 1949. Other works: Iwemeus (novel in progress); Princes (short stories, 1991); Malpeque Bay (poetry, 1991)
