About the author (2003)

Chris Hannold has been involved in robotics for almost two decades. He is a well-known contributor to the BattleBot’s Builder’s Forum on the Internet where he sees hobbyists questions on a daily basis. Mr. Hannold and his team have competed in BattleBot’s, Robot Wars, Robotica, and local competitions. He also organizes and produces the NC Robot StreetFight ( and is an active member of the East Coast Robot Alliance, South Eastern Combat Robotics, and the Society of Robotic Combat.
