A splendid compendium of "all things mother." This is a clever selection of facts about mothers. Lots of history, vivid portraits (words and pictures) and anecdotes. Oddly the saddest bit concerns Anna Jarvis, founder of Mother's Day. Excellent bedside reading. Read full review
