National Geographic: The Photographs

Front Cover
National Geographic Society, Jan 1, 1994 - Documentary photography - 336 pages
5 Reviews
National Geographic magazine's stunning photographs of the last 15 years, and the facts behind them, in an oversize (11x12.25") coffee- table format. Five glorious chapters cover the Society's major themes: wildlife on land and underwater, cultures in the US and around the world, and science--from astronomy to archaeology to the human senses. For those who choose to do more than look at the gorgeous pictures, and maybe read the informative captions, author Bendavid-Val writes about the photographers' achievements from technical, journalistic, and artistic points of view. Still capturing after all these years

User Review  - ocdpeekskill -

The cover photo is still one of my favorite pictures ever. Her eyes are still captivating after all these years and I often wondered what became of her. It was great to see the picture on the back. Read full review
