I like that Hawking includes both scientific history and scientific theory in his books. It gives his ideas and concepts background; which he rounds out with data and research. This author is a very well-written scientist; making this book an enjoyable read. Read full review

The universe in a nutshell by Stephen Hawkings is a great book for the average physicist. It contains a plethora of scientific theories ranging from simple to brain melting complex. I would reccomend learning the basics of physics before attempting to read this book, or you might lose your patience while trying to understand the subjects in this book. I enjoyed the brief biography of Albert Einstein included. I disliked the amount of incredibly advanced theories that were thrown into the chapters, at times it was a bit overwhelming. All in all it was a great read and I would reccomend it to anyone interested in space, physics or the mysteries of the universe.

Interesting, but you need to already understand what he is talking about in order to get it.
