How disappointing that this classic study of our evolution of "childhood" is not iin Googlebooks. I own a copy, but couldnt' find a reference to a portrait of children in Sienna from the 13 or 14th C. I had hoped to find it in Googlebooks, But, seems that the copyright holder of this 1965 book is not giving permission to copy.
Too bad for researchers.
