I wanted to read this ever since I read Wheeler's other Antarctic book, Terra Incognita. Wheeler is a fantastic writer. Cherry really came to life again, and what could have been a dry biography was witty and engaging from beginning to end. 2010 note: This is still one of my favorite books. Read full review
