About the author (1964)

Kate Linton and Ruth Sawyer are cousins who have been best friends all of their lives. Despite many years spent miles apart they remained close. Story tellers that they are, Ruth came up with a way for them to share something fun. She wrote a sentence; the beginning of a story, and asked Kate to continue it. She did, and sent it back to Ruth. So it began and so it continued, until they had created this four-book series; Home to Canyon Creek, Maggie's Way, Captured Heart and Aurora's Song.
