This is one of those books where there's a lot of talk, not much action, and more talk, often repeating the clues and conversations. The mystery itself was a bit twisty, but overall I got a little bored. Read full review

About the author (1991)

E. X. Ferrars, who died in the spring of 1995, was the author of well over sixty novels of mystery and suspense, including most recently A Hobby of Murder and Seeing Is Believing. Dubbed by Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine the writer "closest to Christie in style, plotting, and general milieu," she was given a special award for excellence by the British Crime Writers' Association.
