David N. Thomas is a member of the International Glaciolology Society who specializes in the study of Antarctic sea ice. An associate professor in the School of Ocean Sciences at the University of Wales (Bangor), he is widely published in professional journals and is also the coauthor of several books, including "Biology of Polar Regions,"

Ray Mears is a survival expert, author and television host. He teaches courses in wilderness and arctic survival.
