About the author (2000)

C. Z. Guest is the author of two books, three garden planners, and the nationally syndicated newspaper column, "Garden Talk." Her own line of garden products includes C. Z. Grow organic fertilizer, insect repellent, tools, scented candles, and soap, and is currently available at Bergdorf Goodman's and Neiman-Marcus.

Loretta Krupinski is the illustrator of many books for children, including Dear Rebecca, Winter is Here by Jean Craighead George, The Old Ladies Who Liked Cats by Carol Greene, How a Seed Grows, by Helene J. Jordan, and her own Bluewater Journal: The Voyage of the Sea Tiger. Ms. Krupinski lives in Old Lyme, Connecticut.
