About the author (2006)

Fred Pescatore, M.D., is one of the most celebrated doctors practicing nutritional medicine in the world. Before establishing his own practice, Dr. Pescatore was Medical Director of the Atkins Center. He has appeared on the Today show and The View and has been featured in the New York Times and other major media. Dr. Pescatore's other books include The Allergy and Asthma Cure, Thin For Good, and Feed Your Kids Well. He lives and works in New York and East Hampton.

Jeff Harter is one of the leading experts in Mediterranean-style cooking. Most recently, he was chef of Alison in Bridgehampton, New York. Before that, he created meals at several celebrated restaurants in Europe, including the Michelin three-star establishments Arzak and El Bulli in Spain.
