About the author (2003)

A native of North Carolina, Darwin Porter was a bureau chief for the Miami Herald when he was 21 and later worked in TV advertising. This veteran travel writer is the author of numerous best-selling Frommer’s guides, including Frommer’s Caribbean, the most candid and up-to-date guide to island vacations on the market. He is assisted by Danforth Prince, formerly of the Paris bureau of the New York Times. Both writers have traveled widely in the Caribbean for years and happily share their secrets and discoveries with you.
