Multi-carrier modulation, in particular orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), has been successfully applied to a wide variety of digital communications applications for several years. Ahmad R. S. Bahai is a Fellow and the Chief Technologist of National Semiconductor. He is also an adjunct/consulting professor at Stanford University and the University of California at Berkeley.
