Beginning was fairly slow and uneventful but once the action started it really took off and the ending was quite good. More review to follow soon. Read full review

Great option for boys. It had a good amount of adventure mixed in with some mythology that will be familiar to readers but presented in fresh way. Romance is present, but you are not hit over the head with it. Ending is excellent. Read full review

This is probably my favorite book yet in the series. I didn't think Ms. Turner could surprise me when it came to Gen, but she manages it all the same. This story is told primarily from the viewpoint ... Read full review

This is what any good adventure novel should be - exciting with a pleasing twist in the end. I particularly enjoyed the bit of supernatural that occurred when Gen goes into the heart of his gods and their temple. Can't wait to read the next volume! Read full review

I liked the book because there was a lot of stops and the antagonist would come in and would steal things from the girl and in the story to there was battles that would happen at the same time and there would be the theif who would need the specific jewerly to complete a mission.

Don't judge a book by its cover
When I first read this I stopped reading it because it was so boring at the beginning, but then I read it again and it is a very good book

A slow start but Turner creates some engaging characters and interesting plot lines that will keep a reader's attention. Very enjoyable.
