This is an exciting book by Jules Gabriel Vern, about a man named Phileas Fogg, who lived in London, did the same thing everyday........except on October, 1, 1872 when he made a bet on 2,000 pounds to go around the world in 80 days. With his new loudmouth French servant, Passepartout; they travel on steamers, railways, carriages, yachts, trading vessels, sledges, and elephants. But the one thing that makes it hard for him is that a detective, Fix, thought he was a robber and followed him around the world to arrest him. They bring something from India around the rest of the world with them, and it would have probably been easier if he went all by himself! I'm not going to tell you so why don't you find out yourself! I'm supposed to read this for school, but, when i started reading this book i thought it was boring until I got to the 3'rd chapter, now i really love this book. (don't judge a book by it's cover, i did that)
