"THE MISSING CHUMS"?
WRONG TITLE, SUBJECT!
SHOULD HAVE BEEN "THE MISSING GIRLS"
(Was eventually for Iola Morton, #107 "Panic on Gull Island"---and better!)
.
.....
Aunt Gertrude should comment about Chet, "Missing---but certainly NOT missed."
...
Ominous signs for series future:
...
---Iola and Callie tried to take active part, got unfairly kicked out fast, disappeared---tried again, #7 Secret of Caves, kicked out unfairly again, NEXT chance # 97 (!) Cast of Criminals take part, FINALLY getting to see it through, for girls individually, even getting BOUND AND GAGGED, #89 Sky Blue Frame for Iola, Callie, apart from Casefiles, even further #112 Demolition Mission.
...
---second time in just first four novels, Frank and Joe tied up AGAIN, gagged FIRST time
