Mastering AutoCAD 13 for Windows covers the Windows 95, Windows 3.1, and Windows NIT versions of AutoCAD, including the C4 upgrade. No matter which product you use, you'll explore everything from installation to customization -- while simultaneously learning AutoCAD's graphical interface.

Beginners: start your engines. Simple instruction sets help you create your first drawing, organize your work, manage large project, and handle printing.

Pros: throw it into overdrive! Expert coverage spans built-in 3D modeling, drag-and-drop capabilities, selection cycling, object grouping, complex line types, spine curves and ellipses, and associative hatching. Special treatment of new Windows 95 OLE client capabilities show you how to add almost anything to your drawings -- from word-processed documents to databases, spreadsheets, photos, and bitmapped graphics.

Don't miss these helpful road signs. This book is packed with tips and tricks, valuable margin notes, interesting sidebars, Fast Track instructions, at-a-glance topic listings, and an alphabetical reference to commands and system variables. Highlighted treatment of new Windows 95 features makes upgrading even easier.

What's on the CD? $200 worth of valuable add-ons, utilities, and drawing files! This value-added CD includes a library of architectural symbols; a network plotter; a resolution enhancement program for most dot-matrix and laser printers; utilities for saving layer settings, drawing text on curves, changing line widths, and writing macros; and drawing files from the book's exercises. As an extra bonus, you'll find an online resource guide to add-on applications.a
