About the author (1997)

Hans Ulrich Obrist (Zurich, Switzerland, 1968) is a Swiss curator and art critic. In 1993, he founded the Museum Robert Walser and was curator for contemporary art at the MusA(c)e d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris. He presently serves as the Co-Director, Exhibitions and Director of International Projects at the Serpentine Gallery, Kensington Gardens, London.

Bruce Altshuler is Director of the Program in Museum Studies at New York University and former Director of the Isamu Noguchi Garden Museum, New York. His books include "The Avant-Garde in Exhibition: New Art in the 20th Century" and "Isamu Noguchi.
