About the author (1996)

PATTIE BARRON is a journalist who discovered the joys of gardening several years ago and now writes about plants and gardens full-time. She has a regular column in the London Evening Standard Homes and Property section, and writes for magazines such as House and Garden, Woman and Home and Country Living.
