Arctic Images: The frontier photographed, 1860-1911This is the catalogue of a travelling exhibition of photographs from the Public Archives. The photographs were taken in the Arctic during early travels or expeditions to 1911 and cover a range of subjects including the landscapes, ships, expedition activities, and the Inuit. The catalogue gives descriptive titles for the photographs along with the name of the photographer if known, name of the photograph collection & expedition, if any, and catalogue number of the negative. |
