Good fairly comprehensie view of the church in Asia during the first 1500 years after the beginings of the church. Author is a good historian and has definitly done his homework, I especially appreciated his insights in the last chapter on what we can learn from the early church. My one criticism would be that for someone who doesn't already have some understanding of Asia history the amount of information can be quite overwhelming. A shorter more compact history might be a prerequisite to reading this more thurough one.
