This was the first philosophy book I read and it really got me interested in the subject. The book covers all the major aspects of philosophy (existence, mind, religion, etc etc) and explains them clearly, makes them interesting and covers a lot of detail. The book is comprehensive in its coverage and has sufficient depth, yet is still written in an interesting and accessible way.
