About the author (2006)

Athlon Sports is a publisher of preseason, single-title sports annuals, covering professional and college athletics and distributed throughout North America and Europe. Founded in 1967, they are now the largest sports magazine in the United States and have won Publisher of the Year, Magazine of the Year, and an Emmy Award. They are based primarily in Nashville, Tennessee. Bo Schembechler is a former head football coach for the University of Michigan. Under his leadership, the team won over 10 Big Ten Conference titles, and he was named Big Ten Coach of the Year six times. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach. He lives in the Detroit area.
