About the author (1998)

Mark Young" "is a former editor of the U.S. edition of "The Guinness Book of World Records" and a former judge on the Guinness World Records television show. Mark is a freelance writer who has covered the last three Olympic Games, Wimbledon, and the Super Bowl for NBC Sports and ESPN Classic. He is an Emmy Award Nominee. He lives in Bethel, Connecticut.
