About the author (2007)

William O. Cleverley, a Professor of Health Services Management and Policy, earned his Ph.D. at Berkeley College. A former senior editor for the journal Topics in Health Care Financing, Cleverley is the author of three leading textbooks that discuss finance and healthcare: Essentials of Healthcare Finance, Financial Management of Health Care Facilities, and Cash and Investment Management for the Health Care Industry. Along with these textbooks, Cleverley has contributed numerous articles in healthcare financial management to leading journals and periodicals. Cleverley is also Director of the Center for Healthcare Industry Performance Studies, which is a nationwide financial analysis system for the health-care industry.
