About the author (2001)

Alan N. Kay, M.Ed., is a cum laude graduate of Brandeis University and the 2005 Outstanding Educator for Pinellas County, Florida. He has been awarded the Social Studies Teacher of the Year and has written and published award-winning cirricula. Mr. Kay was awarded the 2002 Daughters of the American Revolution National Outstanding Teacher of American History.
