About the author (2007)

BARBARA REID is one of Canada's leading illustrator/authors, and the creator of such bestsellers as Fox Walked Alone, The Subway Mouse, Read Me a Book and Two by Two. Her books have won every major children's book award, and in 1998 she became the first Canadian to win the UNICEF-Ezra Jack Keats International Award for Excellence in Children's Book Illustration. Barbara lives in Toronto, Ontario.
