I was on Polydor in 1988, when Asher was at the helm. When our band broke up, over silly personal reasons, he was very upset, to say the least, as we had made about $15,000,000 for the label. He called me at our family cottage in Canada to offer me $10K to stay together long enough to complete our planned European tour. Ahhh, those were the days.
