I enjoyed the insight into animal behavior and thinking that the author provided. The parallels between normal animal behavior and human autism were striking and obviously have helped the author in her work with domesticated animals. Read full review

Temple Grandin's Animals in Translation speaks in the clear voice of a woman who emerged from the other side of autism, bringing with her an extraordinary message about how animals think and feel.

This book is the best book that I have read in the past year. Dr. Grandin's knowledge is amazing and her delivery of very complex information is engaging and very understandable. I started to highlight pieces of information that I wanted to especially remember. In doing this, my daughter, after watching me for a short time, asked why I didn't just highlight the entire book! The information included in this book would be insightful and useful for anyone who has close relationships with animals (i.e. dogs, horses, etc) or anyone who has a child in school who either is autistic or is in classes with students who are on the spectrum, in addition to any adults working with children.
