Poetry. John M. Bennett's poetry could be seen as impenetrable and difficult to engage. However, given a bit of time and attention, one realizes it is vibrantly musical and lexically creative work ... one is treated to daring neologisms, dangling parantheses, and quotation marks, strange vizpo transductions of renaissance texts with ancient woodcuts, and his finely tuned blocks of poetry/prose. This collection, entirely written in 1996 ... should expand the poetic awareness of every reader. Congratulations to Ivan Arg'lles' insight in bringing forth this collection! --Peter Ganick.
