Peter Matthews is Professor and Head of the Department of Linguistics at Cambridge University and a Fellow of St. Johns College, Cambridge. His previous publications include Inflectional Morphology, Syntax, and Grammatical Theory in the United States from Bloomfield to Chomsky.
