A book that I gratefully discovered I owned and was stored back in the home of my youth. It was worth the wait and is a powerhouse almost 40 years after publication. Brother Campbell from East Fork did a marvelous job in writing this book. I thank him for having done so. Read full review

About the author (2000)

Will D. Campbell is the author of 16 books including Brother to a Dragonfly, winner of the Lillian Smith Prize and a National Book Award Finalist, and The Glad River, winner of first prize for fiction for Friends of American Writers. He lives in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.
