Es padre espiritual de más de 330 iglesias en 50 países, las cuales forman la Red del Movimiento Sobrenatural (antes llamada Red Apostólica Vino Nuevo). Además, es fundador de la Universidad del Ministerio Sobrenatural (USM). El Apóstol Maldonado tiene un doctorado en consejería cristiana y una maestría en teología práctica. Vive en Miami, Florida, junto a Ana, su esposa y compañera en el ministerio, y sus dos hijos, Bryan y Ronald.
