This book left me just as thirsty as when I started! A riveting introductory journey into complexity, a great mind opener for a high school kid. So many seemingly unrelated fields -- genetics, entropy, cellular automata, population dynamics, computation, game theory, networks -- are weaved together into a new scientific perspective. Mitchell adds a few interesting little bits of narrative element in telling the history of the field of complexity, and her own story on how she ventured into the field.
