Mouse on Mars is one of electronic music's most influential groups whose intelligent, modern pop sound is appreciated by fans worldwide. As the band played with ideas for a quasi obligatory remix album, they decided to remix their work in a book format. Jan Werner and Andi Thoma from Mouse on Mars invited over 30 artists, musicians, theorists and friends to contribute to the book. Using the band's songs, albums and concerts as well as their personal experience with the music as inspiration, the contributors created commentaries, paintings, drawings and collages. The results gathered in this book document the visual, artistic and theoretical contexts of modern electronic music. The book includes a preface by author and journalist Dietmar Dath and an exclusive 10-minute Mouse on Mars bonus track on an audio mini-CD. The book will accompany a Mouse on Mars exhibit that will be held in the Kunsthalle in Dusseldorf, Germany.
