This book taught me a few things about grammar but the main thing I've learnt is that there aren't that many clear cut rules where punctuation is concerned.
It was an interesting book and well
structured the way it moved through all the punctuation marks with explanations and anecdotes but there was something a little annoying about the author's sense of humour. I'm not exactly sure what it was, I think it might be that it was a bit to 'middle class old lady for me'.
Definitely worth reading to learn more but you'd probably need to read it a few times to remember all the different clauses and uses of punctuation.

Enjoyed her dry, very British sense of humor. Wasn't a super fast or thrilling book, but I enjoyed it because of my editorial background. Didn't learn anything new but it's definitely a keeper for my reference book shelf. Read full review

Lynne Truss is what I would consider a grammar Nazi (I am one as well). This book specifically focuses on punctuation. At first, this sounds like a pretty dry topic, no? Truss succeeds in making it ... Read full review

Review: Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation

User Review  - Sarah Price - Goodreads

This book is a hilarious, sarcastic, and of course, inherently geeky guide to punctuation. Even if you don't need to learn how to use commas, colons, and dashes, this is worth the read just for the laughs--if you're a word geek, that is, and realize the possibility of humor in punctuation.
