This book is about a family and myself, growing up in the wake of tragedies and turmoil and how it helped us to survive. A true and amazing story of survival. I grew up with eight brothers and six sisters in Hell's Kitchen, New York; Austin, Texas; Albuquerque and Los Lunas, New Mexico and Sacramento, Elverta and Rio Linda, California. I lived in many other places in between as well. At the time, there were gangs, Vietnam War, and riots. I grew up learning all there is to fight with anything and try to survive. That was my childhood, my toys were weapons used in training, learning how to protect those I love and my friends. With so many siblings, it became fairly normal, that when someone steps on one of our toes, causing problems, we all came running. We were warriors, proud, loyal, fierce and dedicated. This book has taken a long time to write and now is finished. It is done in the hopes that it will help others to be able to overcome problems that are affecting them, and help them find the courage and strength to stand up and say, this has or is happening to me, I need your help. Do not be silent no more.

About the author (2013)

I was born in Arizona, number 14 of 8 brothers and 6 sisters. Half German, half Indian, I grew up a very harsh and cruel life as a hearing impaired child. I promised my mother I would write the book and tell my story in hopes it helps many people. I plan to follow up with another book after this one, about me and my family.
